Holly Brewster
Special Counsel
Overview
Holly is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer, specializing in competition law, corporate transactions, commercial contract drafting/negotiation, IP, and employment matters. She is admitted to practice in both the UK (2002) and NSW (2004) and has practised extensively in both jurisdictions, acting for NGOs, SMEs, national & international corporates, industry associations, tech cos and property developers.
Holly’s longstanding relationships with corporate clients, as well as company director roles running successful private sector businesses, means that she has a natural ability to approach clients’ complex legal issues with real-world commercial perspective.
In the NGO world, Holly understands the distinct legal and operational nuances of the sector, which differ fundamentally from corporate settings. Her advice reflects the realities of mission-driven work, complex governance and regulatory obligations, funding constraints and heightened public accountability, and is focused on providing pragmatic, enabling guidance that supports NGOs to achieve their objectives sustainably.
Clients value Holly’s approachable style, her ability to balance legal rigour with flexible problem-solving, and her consistently practical and business-centric guidance.
Outside of work, Holly is a gigging musician and is on the board of the Sydney Real Tennis Club.
