James Parkin

James Parkin is a highly experienced Solicitor and Special Counsel at Finn Roache Lawyers. He brings to the firm extensive experience and a longstanding commitment to achieving successful outcomes for clients in complex compensation matters. He boasts a distinguished record of accomplishment in personal injury law. James holds a Bachelor of Finance (2005) and a Bachelor of Laws (2007) from the University of Newcastle, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice completed through the NSW College of Law in 2009. He was admitted as a lawyer to both the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2010.

Prior to joining Finn Roache Lawyers, James built a strong foundation in civil litigation and compensation law through his work at a mid-tier law firm and a construction law practice in the Sydney CBD. From 2014 to 2025, he was a senior practitioner at CBD Law/Coastal Compensation Law Specialists on the NSW Central Coast, where he developed a strong reputation for his work in the field of personal injury and compensation law.

Since 2014, James has successfully represented clients across a broad range of personal injury matters, including:

• Work injury damages claims (including multi-party litigation involving employers and third-party tortfeasors);

Specialist Accreditation is a structured peer to peer assessment process enabling legal practitioners to be recognised for their expertise. To be accredited, specialists must pass a series of meticulous assessments on both legal knowledge and its application in practice.
